About HBMG

HBMG started with founder Manuel Zarate doing some development work on the Texas Toll Authority’s website for the SH130 project—a project HBMG is still involved in today. Manuel then developed what has become the cornerstone software for the organization, the eManagers Collaboration suite. Before long, the company had a tiny office with a tilting floor that shook when trains passed by. Employees like Kris Dages, the company’s second employee held on to their monitors, hoping they wouldn’t fall off their desks. What a long way the company has come: from its roots in web development to its incorporation in 2001 to its current focus on Strategy, Collaboration, and Security, from its first contract, with HDR Engineering, in February of 2002, to establishing relationships with numerous engineering firms and the state of Texas to a presence in 17 states; HBMG has grown rapidly and dynamically. The company has seen over a 20% growth in revenues in each of the last four years. As the company has grown, it has also made an effort to give back to the community. The HBMG Foundation started four years ago to fulfill that commitment. The Foundation participates and facilitates creativity in the arts community in Austin, Texas, where the company and foundation are headquartered. The Art of Business was developed in 2009 to bring business executives together to showcase their creative side. With big dreams and great people, HBMG sees no limit on future possibilities. 50 states in 5 years is one goal; HBMG believes it has the people, processes, and procedures in place to have a wide-reaching national impact. |
