HBMG Launches VECTOR™ Rapidly Deployable Cloud Computing Appliance at DEMO Spring 2011
VECTOR Products – Secure Cloud-based Infrastructure – A New Paradigm
Palm Desert, CA –February, 28, 2011 –

HBMG, Inc.  (HBMG) today launched the first of the VECTOR family of products at the DEMO Spring 2011 Conference.  VECTOR products are redefining the future of computing for businesses and agencies of all sizes.  This disruptive technology leverages the benefits of the latest cloud computing technologies and services with the best attributes of localized data centers.

HBMG has worked closely with its partners to bring this new technology approach to the world.  VECTOR is a scalable system that combines cutting edge hardware, application suites, cloud computing and managed services and is an amalgamation of IBMCisco  and HBMG technologies.

VECTOR addresses the key CIO concerns of costly power, air conditioning and facilities charges as well as the need to control headcount. It comes packaged in a secure unit that is 2 feet by 3 feet wide. It uses a standard 20amp electrical outlet and doesn’t require extra air conditioning.

VECTOR offers a way to maintain network and data integrity, assure business continuity, scalability and reduce the cost of labor, energy and hardware.  It enables IT infrastructure to be stood up in hours versus days without significant IT capital expense or the need for expensive highly skilled local resources. This turn-key, rapidly deployable product is offered as a managed service which includes hardware, applications, and network and server monitoring.  VECTOR utilizes cloud based management, data replication and back up to deliver a complete Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solution.

Depending on the model, VECTOR supports up to 600 users per unit, wired or wireless, and can provide 4 to 100’s of virtual servers.  Modular communications options allow for plug-and-play access to LAN, WAN, Government bands, and satellite connectivity.  The combination of local and cloud capabilities means that applications residing on VECTOR are still available to users despite internet problems or outages.
HBMG works with Fortune 50 companies, the highest levels of State and Department of Defense agencies to bring them the future today.  HBMG’s CEO, David Smith, is a noted futurist and nationally recognized Technology Roadmap Leader with an understanding of disruptive technologies.
“Many organizations today are seeking to exploit cloud-based infrastructure and related technologies to lower costs, there have been numerous and persistent concerns about this approach.  VECTOR provides a solution to these concerns,” said Smith.

“VECTOR is a disruptive technology that not only redefines the future of computing, it also establishes a new paradigm of computing,” said Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO.

“There is a lot of hype about cloud computing, but for most companies the cloud isn’t a complete alternative now because if you lose internet connectivity, you lose access to your applications. VECTOR takes the best of leading edge traditional IT with local file storage, and combines it with the functionality of cloud computing services. It makes as much sense for a small to medium size business, a state agency as for the enterprise. If the internet goes down, local file storage and business critical applications are still available”, Smith explained. “We have combined the best of both worlds for the best total cost of ownership”, he continued.

VECTOR was designed to enable IT growth for small to medium sized businesses and for projects for larger entities in a slowed economy by making it possible and practical to rapidly stand up a secure and independent IT infrastructure. Paul Foreman, HBMG’s COO says the compelling benefit of VECTOR is that “An office or collaborative project can begin to work and deliver value much faster than traditional methods - without the need for significant capital outlay or a prerequisite to hire or assemble and schedule an IT staff.”

VECTOR is currently available at HBMG with pricing dependent on client capacity requirements by contacting Sales at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 512-459-2625.

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the heart of Electronic Content Management. Effective collaboration allows people across the extended enterprise to circulate ideas, experiences and knowledge. Smart organizations look to collaboration technologies in order to increase productivity, lower costs, and enhance existing IT resources. To maximize agility and responsiveness, companies today focus on improving collaboration among employees, partners, and customers. Organizations around the world and from varied industries use Electronic Content Management, or ECM technology to foster collaboration, implement vital process improvements, and to protect and retain mission-critical information.

HBMG Inc. is focused on providing a secure space for sharing ideas and maximizing the intelligence of multiple entities. HBMG has created the eManagers Collaboration Suite to do just this. eManagers allows you to share information anytime and anywhere. It automates document tracking and auditing, and helps teams meet objectives in a secure enclave. People can quickly form cross-functional project teams, capture shared knowledge, manage processes and meet project deadlines across geographic, departmental or company boundaries.

HBMG’s Collaboration Suite may be just the solution to conquer the pressures of changing markets, shrinking margins, and increasing competition.

Security

Protecting your organizations assets is more important and more difficult than ever before. Today's threat landscape comprises far more than DDoS attacks, viruses and worms. To protect against the broad array of internal and external threats, more companies are considering security programs that forge closer ties between the physical and logical security realms. The different security staffs have the same goal—protect enterprise assets and usually they exist as independent factions.  The new economy of the convergence technology, budgetary realities and government initiatives are driving enterprises and agencies to question whether business as usual is hurting the bottom line.  HBMG’s Security Practice helps companies bridge the gap between physical, data and logical security.

Strategy

Change is happening at an increasing pace. Newer technology replaces new technology. Global competition appears in local markets and changes not only the market but value chains. Customers demand more innovation from their partners and providers, changing the face of collaboration. Knowledge of and preparation for the future is a must for survival.

The HBMG Strategic Insights and Futures (SI&F) team provides a range of services to help you focus on the right future path for your organization. Experience across a range of industries and technologies has prepared our team to provide insight into how multiple technologies will impact your organization or region in such areas as digital convergence, collaboration, nanotech / biotech / infotech / neurotech fusion, and smart devices.
